COMMUNICATING COMPASSIONATELY

A weekend workshop based on the principles of Nonviolent Communication (Developed by Marshall B Rosenberg)

We all have a universal need to connect with ourselves and with others. This workshop offers a way of communicating that leads us to give from the heart. We offer a guide in reframing how we express ourselves and hear others. Instead of using habitual, automatic reactions, our words become conscious responses based firmly on an awareness of what we are perceiving,
feeling and wanting.

CLEAR EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

A weekend workshop based on Dr Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication (NVC) www.cnvc.org

NVC is a communication model that can be used to change the way we think and the way we relate to
ourselves, to others, and to life. Its main tenet is that our feelings arise from our inner "needs", not from
others' behaviour, and our habitual reactions arise from how we've learned to think and judge. It teaches
us to recognise the judgmental thinking, to look beyond it to reveal the underlying human needs and to
experience authentic connection on that level. When we connect to our core needs, we develop greater
understanding of ourselves and others, which empowers us to create win-win solutions to conflicts.
