Our NVC Community
Our website is representative of a growing community
of trainers and supporters of Nonviolent Communication
(NVC) committed to teaching and creating NVC consciousness throughout New Zealand Aotearoa.
Our community is an informal arrangement of people
contributing individual offerings, and holding legal responsibility
for their own offerings of NVC to the general public.
It includes volunteers who give freely and joyfully, time and
energy to this vision.
Our Vision
A world where all people are getting their needs met and resolving their conflicts peacefully and collaboratively.
Our Mission
To promote peace and transform violence by providing training in NVC skills and principles throughout New Zealand Aotearoa and the Pacific Islands and to collaborate with other projects with a similar vision.

CNVC Certified Trainer
Ron Ngata
Hamilton, NZ
Ron Ngata is a certified trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) and has been providing training in New Zealand since his return from overseas in 2003. He has done workshops with various groups and organisations across the country, including Waikato youth mentoring programmes, Lifeline counsellors, problem gambling services, domestic violence workers, educators and parents, and business managers and employees. He has found NVC to be an invaluable aid in helping people get past “enemy images” and to reconnect on a human level, whether the conflict be in business, politics, race relations, education, or personal relationships.

The Field
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field.
I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase
each other
doesn't make any sense.
Rumi (Sufi Mystic)
translation by Coleman Barks

Our purpose in life comes
from compassionate giving,
compassionate service...
work together in ways
that everybody's needs
get met.
